My name is Kqiara Ava Russell.
I’m 7 years old (almost 8!) and I live with Alopecia.
Alopecia is an autoimmune condition where your body attacks your hair follicles, which causes hair loss. I’ve been bald since I was about 3–4 years old.
In my case, it most likely developed from a chronic strep infection.
But this page isn’t about what I lost.
It’s about what I gained.
Confidence.
Strength.
Courage.
I’m proud of who I am.
I don’t hide.
I make Bold Moves.
This page is the beginning of something exciting — I’m starting my very first business under Kaalkopkjint©️.
This journey is about embracing being different and showing other kids that confidence doesn’t come from hair — it comes from within.

My naam is Kqiara Ava Russell.
Ek is 7 jaar oud (amper 8!) en ek leef met Alopecia.
Alopecia is ’n outo-immuun toestand waar jou liggaam jou haarfollikels aanval en haarverlies veroorsaak. Ek leef van omtrent 3–4 jaar oud af met Alopecia.
In my geval het dit heel moontlik ontwikkel ná ’n chroniese streptokok infeksie.
Maar hierdie blad gaan nie oor wat ek verloor het nie.
Dit gaan oor wat ek gekry het.
Selfvertroue.
Vasberadenheid.
Moed.
Ek steek nie weg nie.
Ek is nie skaam nie.
